# Nautilus MP3 converter
This is a Nautilus Action to convert various audio files to MP3 using
`ffmpeg` or `avconv`.
## Installation
First, install:
* `nautilus-actions`
* `ffmpeg` or `avconv` (libav-tools on Debian)
* `zenity`
### Automated
Run `make install`. You can tweak the installation directory through
the `prefix`, `bindir` and `actionsdir` Make variables.
### Manually
Copy `nautilus-mp3-converter.desktop` to a directory where Nautilus
Actions will look for it. You can also import it through Nautilus
Actions' GUI.
Copy `nautilus-mp3-converter` wherever you want. If it's not in your
PATH, you'll have to edit the action installed earlier for the Exec
field point to that file.
`nautilus-mp3-converter` has to stay executable, or you'll have to
prefix the Exec action with `bash`.
## Usage
Right click on any audio file that doesn't have the `.mp3` extension,
and activate the new *Convert to MP3* action.
